Green Leaf Standard

CES Ecology has worked in conjunction with Bovis Homes Northern Region to design a strategy to accommodate legally-protected wildlife within a large residential development in Nantwich. Species included great crested newts, badgers, water voles, lesser silver water beetles, barn owls and a rare species of aquatic snail. This involved the licensed translocation of protected species from the developable area, the creation of a new badger sett, the digging of several new ponds, tree planting and hedgerow restoration. Working closely with the developer’s landscape architect, CES helped Bovis Homes achieve the Green Leaf Standard for their development.
